Assistant Professor, Tenure Track
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Austin Peay State University invites applications to fill a tenure-track position in Mathematics Education for the 2013-2014 academic year.  Austin Peay State University is a regional university with a strong tradition of teacher preparation and community involvement.  Mathematics education faculty work closely with the College of Education and Certification Office and with teachers in the local schools.
 Responsibilities include teaching courses in mathematics content and pedagogy for pre-service elementary, middle school, and high school teachers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as graduate courses for in-service teachers.  A typical teaching load is four 3-hour courses per semester.

Emphasis is placed on excellence in teaching, commitment to service, potential for scholarly activity and collegiality.  A terminal degree in mathematics (conferred no later than the beginning of the 2013 Fall Semester) is required.
